Can’t believe it! Daisy and Rufio are at the vet right now, getting their final international pet health certificates issued. This time next week we’ll be departing LAX on our final leg to San Jose.
All kinds of emotions have come up throughout the last 10 weeks of preparation. Moments of panic and second-guessing, but those fade fast to excitement. We’re ready.
…Well as ready as we can be, anyway. It is going to really warm when we arrive, and the ocean temperature is currently 82f. 🥵 To be honest, I can’t wait to sweat it all out. We’ll adjust eventually, they say? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I am looking forward to decompressing in Jaco with all of this in the rear view mirror, and finding time for some creative writing. My final countdown pre-move checklist:
Finalized International Pet Certs today!
Sentimental personal possessions moved into storage.
Pre-move final meeting with Sarah Elena ✔️
Coordinated with Kelley Blue Book to sell my car - they’ll pick it up this week and pay it off, easy peasy.
US health insurance cancelled!
Mailing address updated with bank, clients, etc.
Packed our things; everything is flying on the plane with us as luggage. In total: 2 kennels, 2 suitcases (large and carry on), 3 bins, and one Yeti cooler. Shoes, clothing, a few good kitchen knifes, some linens, select toiletries, pet items, and some electronics/ sound gear is all we need.
This week before we take off, we’ll need to secure our Costa Rica Health Pass and an onward ticket before the flight. And we’re out! <3.
Pura Vida!!
Woot, Woot-So excited for you Jen!🎉
